Robert Allen Peeler

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Robert Allen Peeler, Sr., 80 of Malone died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Malone, He served in the Air Force from 1951 through 1955. Robert was a Mechanic, worked in the trucking business and was also a metal fabricator. Robert Allen loved going to the camp, fishing, working, his family and serving the Lord. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents Hubert J. and Ollie B. Fears Peeler; a brother, Major Harold Peeler; brothers-in-law Hubert Taylor and Talmadge Holland. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Jean Peeler; three sons, Robbie Peeler and wife, Candy, of Greenwood, Steve Peeler and wife, Katie, Randy Peeler all of Dothan Al; one daughter, Cheryl Daffin and husband, Robert of Marianna; grandchildren, Laurie Patterson and husband, Shannon, Jeffrey and Christy Lane Peeler, Kyle and Seth Peeler, Kendall DeLoney and husband, Cam, Shelley Braswell and husband, Nicky, Jake and Holli Daffin, Heather Dilmore and husband, Matt; Heidi Baker and husband, Murray; great-grandchildren, Jesse and Jared Force, Austin, Braxton, Carson and Dawson DeLoney, Katelyn and Madelyn Braswell; brothers, Roy Peeler, Walt Peeler and wife, Vivian, Howard Peeler and wife, Martha; sisters, Emma Ruth Taylor, Patricia Holland; sister-in-law, Jeannette Peeler; brother-in-law, Gordon Fort. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. , Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Friendship Baptist Church with Revs. Shelton Kindig and Greg Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Monday, April 9, from 5-7 pm at Friendship Baptist Church, 5507 Friendship Church Road, Malone.
