Robert Eugene Lambe, 53, of Birmingham passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born April 25, 1962 to parents, Dr. Arnold and Lola Lambe. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Arnold Lambe.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Lambe of Birmingham, AL ; mother, Lola P. Lambe of Marianna; two sisters, Laura (William) Wynn of Cresson, TX, twin sister, Margaret (Kenneth) Schulz of Santa Fe, NM; two nieces, Sarah Schulz of Denver, CO and Annie Schulz of Santa Fe, NM; one brother, Dr. Gregory (Cindy) Lambe; four nephews, Christopher (Hanna) Lambe, Grant Lambe, Cody Lambe and Madison Lambe all of Marianna; aunts, Katie Padgett, Eddie (Pete) Hilton and Dorcas Jackson, all of Marianna; one uncle, John Padgett of Marianna and many relatives and friends.

Robert was a graduate of Marianna High School, Chipola Jr. College, attended the University of Florida and was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science. He also was previously enrolled in New Orleans Baptist Seminary. Robert held the position of Chief Administrative Officer with the M.J. Harris Company, Builder of Healthcare Facilities Nationwide, of Birmingham AL. Robert was an active member of the Church of the Highlands in Birmingham. His strong faith in God sustained him through his short life and now brings us comfort in his passing. He was strong, loyal, honest and dedicated in all his endeavors. He will forever be missed and loved by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his former home church, First Baptist Church of Marianna with Dr. Mark Long and Rev. LaVon Pettis officiating. A private committal service will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at First Baptist Church.
