Robert Johnson, 81, of Bascom died November 13, 2022 at his residence.
Robert was born to Daniel & Mildred Johnson September 4, 1941 and lived most of his life in Jackson County. Robert retired from the U S Air Force. He enjoyed carpentry work, fishing and most of all he loved his western movies.
Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Janice in 2019; brothers, Jimmy Johnson & John Ervin Johnson; nephew, John David Johnson.
Survivors included two sons, Mark Johnson of Maryland and children, Ashley and Ava, Chris Johnson of South Florida and children, Isabella and Nicholas; two step-sons, Steven Winton of Bascom, Sam Winton of Thomasville, Ga; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Johnson; nephew, Greg Johnson, and a great nephew, Daniel Johnson all of Bascom.
Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10 AM in Bascom Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Greg Ford officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will direct.
