Robert L. "Bob" Imel, 80 of Marianna passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Jackson Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Marianna with Revs. Stephen Potter and Jeff Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel directing. Flowers accepted or those wishing may make memorials c/o Maria Spurlock 2854 Miltonia Ave., Marianna, FL 32448. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2010, at the First Assembly of God Church in Marianna. Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 8, 1930. A U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, Bob retired from the City of Boynton Beach, Florida. He was former member of the Barber Shop Quartet in West Palm Beach, historian with Chipola Regional Arts and West Palm Church of God. Bob was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Marianna. Survived by his wife Virginia Faye Imel of Marianna; two sons Mark Imel of Marianna, Eric Imel(DeLynn) of Winter Haven, FL, daughter Maria Spurlock(Greg) of Marianna; two sisters-in-law Ilene Imel of Ft. Myers, FL, Bernice Imel of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren Zachery Spurlock, Caleb Spurlock, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friend Robin Alexander.
