He was a native of Mason City, Iowa. He served in the U S Navy for 4 years during WW ll, then became an educator where he was the President and owner of Hamilton Business College over 70 years along with his father Ward Ryckman Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was also a past president of the Iowa Private School. During this time he was a mong the Who's Who in American Education. Robert was a member of the Sneads American Legion Post 241. Survivors include his daughter, Jane Marie Hamilton of Grand Ridge; foster daughter, Suzette RIches of Holloway, Mn.; extended family, Shannon and Lisa Neel and their four children all of Grand Ridge. Memorialization will be by cremation. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel will be in charge of arrangements.
