Robert D. Gay Jr

Robert D. Gay, Jr., 67, of Marianna died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at his home. A native of Andalusia, Alabama, Mr. Gay had resided in Marianna for most of his life, he was a U. S. Army veteran, a former long time employee of the J. D. Swearinger Company and a member of the Hasty Pond Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. Sr. and Daisy Bell Petterson Gay. He is survived by his special friends and care givers Christine and Arthur Hagan of Marianna; his church family at Hasty Pond Baptist Church and his many friends. Funeral services will be at 10 am Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Hasty Pond Baptist Church with Rev.. Lamar Clark officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Maddox Chapel."
