Richard D Beard

Richard D. "Dick" Beard, 88, of Marianna died Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence.

Dick was born October 24, 1934 in Pioneer Ohio to the late Samuel and Helen Miller Beard. He served in the U S Army for four years. Dick has lived in Marianna more than 20 years. He was an accountant with the State of Florida Dept. of Corrections. He enjoyed playing golf, and loved FSU football.  He was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Marianna.

Dick is survived by his wife, Janice R. Beard; son, John Beard (Molly) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Terry Sargent (Tad) of Charlotte, NC; sons, Stanton Clark of Bradenton, FL, Terrance Clark of Tallahassee, FL and Steven Clark (Rachel) of Tampa, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 am CT, Friday, September 8, 2023 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 9 am, CT, Friday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
