Edward Raymond Macdougall

James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Rev. Edward R. MacDougall 70 went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2011 at Jackson County Hospital. Born on April 7, 1941, in Long Branch, N.J. to Leslie & Viola MacDougall proceeding him in death are his Parents, three Bothers Robert, William, & Jerald MacDougall and Sister Nancy Trotta. Serving are two sisters MaryJane Welz & Shirley Reed. Married to his wife Ann on June 27, 1961 in home of Robert & Eleanor Comstock's. They have 4 children John MacDougall, Kathleen Blanchette (Richard), Lisa Jenkins and James MacDougall (Amanda). They have 8 Grandchildren Sandra del Pino (Jose), Richard Blanchette Jr. (Leigh Ann), Cherilyn Jenkins, James Jr., Matthew, Travis, and Amber MacDougall, Rebekah Blanchette and Great Grandson Christopher del Pino and many Nieces and Nephew. He Joined the Army to serve his country stationed in Korea; He attended Baptist College of Florida (BBI) in Graceville he graduated in 1985 with a bachelor of theology degree. He served as pastor in Honesdale PA. He served many years as a house parent/counselor at Sheridan House Family Ministry also Florida Baptist children's home in Fort Myers and Miami He had so much love for children. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and woodworking. Ed and his wife retired in 2004 and moved to Alford Florida. He was a member of Alford Baptist Church Rev. Dr. Robert Johnson will be officiating the funeral. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Alford Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Johnson and Joey Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow in Alford Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
