Ralph White, Sr.

Ralph Woodrow White, 67 born April 15, 1943 in Columbus, GA. passed away Thursday May 6, 2010 in Marianna, Fl,. Ralph had been a long time resident of the Marianna area since 1948. He was a 1961 graduate of Marianna High School. He was larger than life and mostly known by the nickname "Possum Trot". He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents W.H. and Lecil Louise White, brother William Gerald "Billy" White, niece Star Daniels Gilbert and son Shelton Lee White. He is survived by a son Ralph White of Orange Park, Fl.; 2 daughters: Lisa Ivey and Tina Fuller both of Panama City, Fl.; Long time companion JoAnn Callais; 5 grandchildren; sister: Barbara Daniels and husband Paul of Chipley.; two nieces Talitha Douglas and Tiffany Worthington as well as many friends. Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday May 10, 2010 at James and Sikes Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Possum Trot cemetery with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Maddox Chapel.
