Polly Ann Richards, 82, of Marianna went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 25, 2014, at her home with her husband, Junior Richards by her side.
Mrs. Richards was born in Dellwood, Florida to Edward and Lucille Hunt. She worked for 42 and a half years for Dr. M.B. Davis, Sr. where she was known and loved by all. Her special bond to her family cannot be overstated. She had a special affection for her church family and was a charter member of Eastside Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing with Junior and visiting with her many friends and beloved family. Her happy smile could always brighten a room and will be missed.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lillian Lucille Bennett Hunt, one brother, Larry F. Hunt; her aunt, Edith Whitten.
She is survived by her husband, Junior Richards; one son, Mark J. Richards and wife, Marie of Bascom; grandson, Mark J. Richards II of Marianna; one brother, Edward Earl "Jaybird" Hunt; niece, Jeannie Ann and Gary Dean of Marianna; extended family includes Estelle and Jason Whiddon of Marianna; grandchildren, Shelley and Ryan Hoffman of Alabama, Austin Allen of Malone, Conrad and Crystal White of Georgia, Bunny and Seth Badoin of Compass Lake; great-grandchildren, Sophia Hoffman, Coral, Chloe and Conrad White II, Barrett and Syler Badoin.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Eastside Baptist in Marianna with Rev. John Rollyson and Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Baptist Cemetery with James Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends Sunday, at 2 p.m., one hour prior to funeral service at the church.
