Phyllis Oleta Smith Sheffield, 93, of Marianna died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Marianna Health and Rehab in Marianna. Born June 29, 1915 in Fellsmere, Florida. she was the daughter of the late Q.V. Smith and Octavia Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by husband Rev. Leonard E. Sheffield; two sisters, Opal Smith Lindsey and Sarah Smith Zimmerman; two brothers, Ernest Smith and Joseph N. Smith. Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Kirk and husband James L. II of Moultrie, Ga., Carole Berube and husband Dean of Hohenwald, Tn. and Ann Durden of Sorrento, Fl.; one sister, Inez Lowry of Ft. Pierce; Three grandchildren, Pamela K. Allen, Randall Kirk, Vicki J. Kirk; three great grandchildren, Zack Allen ,Haley Allen and Bower Kirk-Murphy. Graveside funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Dykes Cemetery in Grand Ridge with Carole Sheffield Berube officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing."
