Phillip Smith, “Smitty”, 68, of Altha, died Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Cottondale surrounded by loved ones.
He was born August 24, 1955, in Geneva, Alabama to James E. and Lucille C. Smith.
Smitty had several jobs throughout his life, but his favorite was his nine years at Piggly Wiggly in Blounstown.
His hobbies were fishing, watching westerns, wrestling, and playing with his grandchildren. He loved the Gators and “His Pepsi.”
Smitty was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lungren Smith; parents, James E. Smith, Lucille E. Smith; brothers, Jimmy D. Smith, Edward B. Smith; sister, Dorothy J. Smith; daughters, Connie Hendrix, Mary Lundgren, and Natasha Parmerlee.
He is survived by his children, Debbie McClain (David) of Cottondale, Brenda Mayo (Vic) of Panama City, Terry Lundgren (Shelia) of Altha, Kenny Lundgren (Mel) of Marianna, Marty Lundgren of Altha, Geoffrery Mullins (Colleen) of Pinellas Park, James Jenkin of Romeoville; and brother, Glen Smith (Pam) of Marianna, as well as 31 Grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 5 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 4 PM, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
