Neva Pender "Penny" Sanders, age 80, of Greenwood, Florida passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Jackson Hospital. She was born to James and Neva Golson on October 11, 1942, in Marianna, Florida.
Neva loved cooking, traveling, and camping. She worked a number of years at Dot's Tots, and once they closed, began working for Dr. Joe Gay for the next 10 years before retiring. Neva attended RCC with her husband, Charles. She always enjoyed going to Mexico Beach and Seagrove Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Neva Pender Golson; and her sister, Cynthia Golson. Neva is survived by her husband, Charles B. Sanders; sons, Charles B. "Chuck" Sanders, Jr. of Yukon, Oklahoma (Alexa) and Marc A. Sanders, of Columbia, Maryland (Patti); and one brother, James "Jimbo" Golson, Jr. of Howards Creek, Florida. She was a devoted grandmother (“Memaw”) to Kennedy, Caleb, Aidan and Maya.
No public services. Private interment in Greenwood Methodist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
