Paul Anthony Donofro Sr., 92, of Marianna died Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at his home. Paul was born May 17, 1931, in Niagara Falls, New York to Joseph and Mary Martin Donofro.
He served his country in the Korean War from 1950-1953. Paul graduated with his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Florida in 1960. In 1963, Paul Sr. and his family moved to Marianna, FL, where he opened 'Paul A. Donofro Architects', which is still open today, and owned by his son, Paul Donofro, Jr.; where both his son, Sean Donofro, and grandson, Christopher Donofro are both employed. He was a hunter, fisherman, and loved the outdoors. Paul Sr. was an avid reader, a lover of arts, and he enjoyed traveling the world and studying culture and architecture.
Paul had six children who he was extremely proud of, adored, and always supported. He also has nine grandchildren that he was equally proud of.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Martin Donofro; former wife and mother of his children, Joan Marie Donofro; his siblings, Joseph (Harriett) Louis Donofro, two sisters Virginia Donofro, and Barbara Donofro Pucci.
Paul is survived by his children, Paul A. Donofro, Jr. (Kathy), Marc Donofro, Troy Donofro (Kelly), Sean Donofro (Kim), Juli Ann Donofro, and Gina Mia Donofro-Sims; grandchildren, Christopher Donofro, Jessica Donofro, Roman Donofro, Danni Eubanks (Trevin), Gianna Donofro, Shawna Donofro, Hanna Wheetley (Dylan), Joseph Sims and Anthony Sims; one sister, Mary Ann Fernandez; one brother-in-law, Jack Pucci; along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at First United Methodist Church in Marianna with Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Homes Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM in the Wesley Center at First United Methodist Church.
