Patsy Smith

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Patsy Childs Smith, 70 of Roswell, Georgia, died Friday, September 29, 2014 in Marianna. Patsy was born and raised in Hartford, Alabama. She was a graduate of the 1961 class at Hartford High School. She moved to Columbus Georgia where she met her husband, George Smith. They were married on May 4, 1974. She was a resident of Roswell, Georgia for almost 40 years. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and loved to be involved with her daughter, Heather's activities and life events. She was a room mother, team mom and cheer leading mom for Heather as she grew up. She was a doting and loving mother. She loved to have fun and enjoyed life to the fullest. Preceded in death by her husband, George J. Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Heather (Franklin) Tillman, sister Glenda Parmer of Marianna, two nieces, Kelly (Buddy) Edwards and Georgianna (Roger) Hand, mother-in-law, Laverne C. Smith of Opelika, Sister-in-law Dale (Wayne) Chase, four nephews, Neil (Stacy) Chase, Will (Rebecca) Chase, Kenneth Chase, and Jon (Laura) Chase. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Roswell Georgia First Baptist Church in the chapel with Rev. Jerry Tyler officiating. Visitation with the family will be held in the parlor following the service.
