Patricia Hearn White

Patricia Hearn White, 85, of Marianna, Florida, passed to eternal life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Pat was born in Baker, Florida, on August 20, 1938 to Huey and Voncile Hearn. She was a 1956 graduate of Pensacola High School.

Pat married Crockett White in 1965, blending two families into one and raising six children while instilling her generosity, her love for people, and her work ethic in each of them.

Throughout her life, Pat loved people, from the children she kept in her home in her 20’s to volunteering at Foley Nursing home in her 40’s and then her charity work with Goodwill Industries and the Humane Society in her 70’s.

Pat was well-known in her church and work circles for the dinner parties she gave. They always included games and lots and lots of laughter.

Those who met Pat late in life spoke of her feistiness, her sense of humor, and her love for those around her, and she blessed her new friends with her wit and wisdom.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Vince White; her granddaughter, Amanda Yost; and her great-great grandson, Leo Prieto.

She is survived by her daughters, Kym Reddoch, Cherry (Charlie) Davis, Paige Williams, Crickett (Benjamin) Griffin, and Lynn (Michael) White; her sister Kit Smith, and her brothers, Hughy Hearn and Tim (Debbie) Hearn; her grandchildren, Mitzie (Darryl) Prince, Jenna Yost, Jenifer Morgan, Katie Morgan, Vince (Mariah) Morgan, Malcolm (Sydney) Reddoch, Amy Kathryn Reddoch, David Griffin, and Sam Griffin; 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to the caregivers at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation and Emerald Coast Hospice for their love and compassion for Pat and her family.

Graveside funeral service will be 1:30 PM Saturday April 27, 2024 at Cotton Cemetery in Baker, Florida with Gino Mayo officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends form 10-11 AM Saturday April 27, 2024 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
