Oscar David Polk, Jr.

Oscar David Polk, Jr., 84, of Marianna died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Jackson Hospital. A native of Charleston, SC, Mr. Polk was a former resident of Ridgeville, SC, a U.S. Navy veteran and was a retired Optician. He had resided in Marianna for the past year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar D. Polk, Sr. and Ethel Grooms Polk. Survivors include two daughters, Colleen McTeague and husband, Thomas of Marianna and Nancy E. Singletary of Texas; one brother, William Polk of Natick, Mass.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorialization will be by cremation, entombment will be at a later date at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
