Ora Bee "Mama Land" Land

Ora Bee Land, 89, of the Rocky Creek Community went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 30, 2011. Born in Houston County, Al., Mama Land as she was affectionately known was a life long resident of Jackson County, a member of the Cypress Community Church and truly loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Land; her parents, John Thomas and Bessie Battle and five brothers. Survivors include two sons, Donald Land and wife Carlene of Alford, Earl Land and wife Joy of Gilberttown, Al; three daughters, Barbara Jackson and husband John, Linda Price and husband James, Glenda Noblin all of Marianna; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and her church family at Cypress Community Church. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Cypress Community Church with Rev. Jerry Mears and Rev. John Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Sims Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Mrs. Land's home at 5010 Land Drive.
