Nettiell Peacock Smith, 77, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Marianna Health & Rehab.

She was born October 4, 1945, to Robert Lee and Susie McMillan Peacock.

Nettiell was very devoted to her church, especially the children. She was always teaching them and passing out cookies. She enjoyed cooking and was always ready to give and help anyone she could.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Susie Peacock; her husband, Alfred Smith; and brothers, Ladone Peacock and Willie Paul Peacock.

Nettiell is survived by her sisters, Johnnie Roberts, Nellie Riley (Herschell), and Carlette Peacock; her brothers, Jim Peacock (Donna Wilkie) and Bruce Peacock (Lynn); very dear aunts, Dot McMillan and Joette Gilley; and lots of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel, with Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral services at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
