Nell Brogdon Watford

Nell Watford, 68, of Malone passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, peacefully in her home, after her battle with cancer. She was a wonderful friend, loving wife, mother and "nana". Nell left her mark everywhere she was present. She spent her early years riding dirt roads with friends and recent years being a grandmother and great-grandmother. However, she was most known for her role at Ham Peanut Company. Nell and her husband, Jimmy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary where they have been side by side until the very end.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Alma Lee Brogdon as well as brothers,  J.D. Brogdon, Aaron Brogdon, Johnny Brogdon, Billy Brogdon, Infant Phillip Brogdon and sister, Christelle Traylor.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Watford, daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Webster, grandchildren Mackenzie Douglas, Bailey (Taylor) Clark, Shane Webster, great grandchildren, Bryar Douglas, Elleigh Douglas, and expecting great granddaughter, in May 2023. Surviving brothers, Robert (Linda) Brogdon, Jack Brogdon.

Visitation will be at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel,  Wednesday,  December 21, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, December 22, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Malone with Ed Ham officiating. Burial will follow in  Ham Family Cemetery in Malone with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. www.jamesandsikesfuneralHomes.com
