Born in Crittenden County, Kentucky, Mrs. Mayo spent most of her life in Marianna where she and her husband, Curtis, had lived and worked at the Industrial School, and later operated a convenience store and post office on the Greenwood Highway. She had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1946. Mrs. Mayo was preceded in death by her parents, Ode and Odessa Dollings Conyers, and by her husband, Curtis M. Mayo. She is survived by her step-daughter, Jacqueline Parramore of Marianna; two step-grandsons, Bill Parramore and wife, Marianna of Orlando, Florida, and Dave Parramore and special friend, Dana Walker of Sopchoppy, Florida; one step-great granddaughter, Heather Abernathy and husband, Jay of Atlanta; three great-great-grandchildren, Jake, McKenzie and Kala Abernathy all of Atlanta; four nephews and one niece in Kentucky, and other extended family members in Florida and Kentucky. Her family will celebrate her life at a family memorial service, her interment will be in Pincrest Memorial Gardens.
