Myrtle Ellen Surgnier

Myrtle Ellen Surgnier, 85, of Greenwood went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2015. Myrtle met the love of her life, Esly Paul Surgnier, at the age of 16 and never left his side. She absolutely loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her closest loved ones adored her as their "Muffy." She was stunningly beautiful her entire life. She is survived by her husband Paul Surgnier, daughter Jan Farley, son Steve Surgnier, brother Bob Mathis, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and great-great grandson Kipper. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Lovedale Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Interment will follow in the Lovedale Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
