Myrtice Goodwin-Stanley Hewett

James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Myrtice Goodwin Stanley Hewett, 95, of Marianna died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Jackson Hospital. Ms. Hewett was a native and lifelong resident of Marianna, a former school teacher and a homemaker. Preceded in death by her parents, Tom & Lossie Goodwin; three sons, Gene, Robert and Ray Stanley; five brothers, Fred, Colon, Howard, Harold and Horace Goodwin; four sisters, Erma Goodwin, Flora Tipton, Betty Jackson and Linnie Steadham. Survivors include two sons, Ralph Stanley and wife, Linda of Grand Ridge, Jack Stanley and wife, Rachel of Lynn Haven; one sister, Verna Cook of Marianna; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Welcome Assembly of God Church in Dellwood with Rev. Dr. Thomas Batts officiating. Burial will follow in Waldorf Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
