Born in San Bernando, CA. Michael was a former resident of Arkansas and had resided in Jackson County for the past 7 years where he was employed as a meat cutter with Smith Grocery. He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Daniel Odom. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Smith of Marianna; two sons, Chris Massey and finace' Tonya Smith and Bobby Humphrey all of Bonifay; one daughter, Samantha Ashmead of Cottondale; his father and step-mother, Mac and Debi Odom of Marianna; mother and step-father Vikki and Tom Miller of Billings, WY.; two brothers Jason Odom and finace' Jessie Noble of Callaway, Michael Lee McLendon of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Donna Harrelson and husband David of Gautier, Ms.; three grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, February 26, 2010 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Glen Whiddon officiating. Memorization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 11 am Friday, February 26, 2010 at Maddox Chapel until funeral time.
