Melia P. Bell, 87 of Graceville (Poplar Springs Community) passed awayFriday, August 7, 2009 at the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2009 at Bethel Baptist Church with Revs. Jack Faircloth and Jackie Register officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Those wishing may make memorials to Covenant Hospice 4440 Lafayette St., Suite C Marianna, FL 32446. Mrs. Bell was born in Holmes County, Florida on November 9, 1921 to the late Columbus L. and Nancy E. Newton Patterson. A beloved mother, Mrs. Bell was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Lee A. Bell, son-in-law Dave Garner and grandson Doug Garner. She is survived by nine children Andrew Bell, Nancy Garner, Charlie & Judy Bell, Edwin & Maxine Bell, Benny & Brenda Bell, George & Casundra Bell, Bernice & Leroy Golden, Lena Miller, Jackie Bell; twenty-three grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Annie Patterson.
