James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Mary Lee Yon, 83, of Marianna went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted friend to many. She was preceded in death by Millard Yon, Tommy Robinson, parents, Jesse and Ola Shores, one sister, Myrtice Flora and a niece Debra Quigg. She is survived by three daughters, Carlotta and husband, James Shores, Janice and husband, Randy Holley, Ginger and husband, Scott Harris, all of Marianna and one sister, Jessie Booth of Jacksonville, Florida. She had five grandchildren, Neil and wife, Michaela Shores, Cameron and wife, Christy Shores, Meghan Holley, Morgan Harris and Amory Harris all of Marianna. Seven great-grandchildren, James Shores, Devin Shores, Bella Shores, Destiny Shores, Noah Shores, Weston Shores, Jaxon Ross Holley and her favorite pet Duke. She is also survived by a host of beloved cousins, friends and extended family. Mrs. Yon received her Master's Degree from the University of West Florida. She fulfilled her lifelong ambition as an educator with the Washington County School Board for over 20 years. She shared her passion for her faith, cooking, gardening and joy of laughter with all who knew her. Her sunny personality will be missed by many. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at James & SIkes Maddox Chapel with Revs. Jeff Hagan and Travis Moxley officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5p.m. to 7p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. Flowers are welcome as well as donations to White Pond Baptist Church, P.O.
