Mary L. Whitehead

Mary L. Whitehead, 83, of the Kynesville Community passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Jackson Hospital. Born in Bay County, Mrs. Whitehead had resided in Jackson County all her life and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Ed" Whitehead, a infant daughter, her parents, Jesse and Josephine Long Foran, Sr. and three brothers, Hubert, Johnny and Ralph Foran. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Murphy and husband Hilton of Alford; two sons, Edward Gerald Whitehead and wife Sherry of Marianna, William Dennis Whitehead and wife Barbara of Okeechobee, Fl; one sister, Betty Linton of Marianna; five brothers, Jesse Foran and wife Nellie of Marianna, Huston Foran and wife Nona of Birmingham, Lonnie Foran and wife Louise of Panama City, Lloyd Foran and wife Sandra of Bristol and Charlie Foran and wife Jeanette of Alford; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Revs. Ronnie Wright and Glenn Dunham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Maddox Chapel.
