Mary Edna Schmidt, 73, of Chipley died Thursday, September 4, 2008 in Washington Rehab & Nursing Center. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Mrs. Schmidt had resided in Jackson County for many years and was a retired Sales Agent / Broker in the Insurance and Securities, she attended Evangel Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Oscar and Mary Lane McCoy. Survivors include three daughters, Regina Schmidt of Cottondale, Vicky Schmidt of Texas and Sybil King of Homestead; three grandchildren, Catheryn King, Danielle Yates and Mary Rose Pervinich. Memorial services will be at 2 pm Sunday, September 7, at Evangel Worship Center in Marianna with Rev. Lavon Pettis officiating.
