Mary Alice Nix, 83, of Malone died Saturday May 31, 2008 in Marianna. Mrs. Nix was a life long resident of Jackson County, a member of the Marianna Seventh Day Adventist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie L. Nix and her parents, John Wilson and Arrie Simmons Pelham. Survivors include one son, Lamar Cannon and wife Donna of Falls of Rough, KY; one daughter, Donna Nichols and husband Charles of Ocala; one sister, Grace Lincoln of Marianna; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Maddox Chapel, burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till funeral time Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Maddox Chapel.
