Mary Garcier Long

Mary Garcier Long, 82 of Marianna passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Marianna Health and Rehab. A native of Charleston, Illinois, Mrs. Long moved to Grand Ridge in 1978. She worked at Florida State Hospital as an LPN until her retirement. She devoted her life to raising her four children and her nursing career. Ms. Long was preceded death by her two husbands, Price Garcier, Dwight Long and one granddaughter, Natasha Combs. Survivors include three sons, Larry Walters and wife Trica of Bloomington, IL., Tom Garcier and wife Sherrie of Monticello, IL, Michael Garcier and wife Mary of Greenwood; one daughter, Terri Howell of Florida; many devoted grandchildren. Memorization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff of Marianna Health and Rehab. for their devoted care and compassion."
