Mary Ethel Morris Braxton, 71, of Cottondale died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. A native and life long resident of Jackson County, Mrs. Braxton was the owner/operator for the past 24 years of the South East Flea Market where she was known as the " Tool Lady ". She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Braxton; two brothers, Buddy and Nelson Morris. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lynn Barthlemess and husband Chuck of Rehobeth, Sherry Heifner Drummond of Marianna and Vickie Drummond; two sons, Michael Drummond of Cottondale and Johnny Drummond of Gulf Shores, AL.; two brothers, Gene Morris of Cottondale and Richard Morris of Miami; one granddaughter, Tammy Deprist and husband Joey of Rehobeth; four great grandchildren, Chase Trammell, Gavin, Lance and Rayne Depriest. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Maddox Chapel with Rev. Dr. John P. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at First Assembly of God Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Maddox Chapel. The family would like to acknowledge and express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Michael Soppet and the nursing staff of 4-north at Flowers Hospital for their Love and Compassion shown to Mrs. Braxton and family during her illness. "
