Mary Jane Carson

Mary Jane Carson, 72, of Grand Ridge, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at her home in Grand Ridge. A native of West Virginia, Mrs. Carson had resided in Jackson County for the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Rhoda Gilkey Lay; three brothers, Harold, Jimmy and Jack Lay. Survivors include her husband, Jack Carson of Grand Ridge; one daughter, Linda Treadway and husband Kenny of West Virginia; two grandchildren, Denise and D.J. Treadway; one brother, Dickie Lay and wife Ellen of Bainbridge, Ga.; three sisters, Dianna Williford of Cypress, Sandra Williams of Sneads; Phyllis Joy and husband Dorsel of Ohio. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Friday, July 19, 2013 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Sneads Chapel with Rev. Charles E. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Holiness Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Sneads Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Sneads Chapel. The family will be meeting at the residents of Jackey Williams, 3037 Sandridge Church Road, Sneads.
