Marvin Eugene Dixson

Marvin Eugene "Gene" Dixson, 77, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard in Marianna. Mr. Dixson was a native of Jackson County, a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy; He was self-employed in the electrical, heating, and air conditioning industry, and was a Mason, Shriner, and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Elizabeth Peacock Dixson, and one granddaughter Mindi Dixson. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Dixson, two sons; Michael Dixson and wife Karen, and Keith Dixson all of Greenwood. Two Daughters; Shirley and husband Clayton Weaver of Greenwood; and Jennifer Dixson of Marianna; Six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Memorization will be by cremation James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
