Marjorie Ford

Margie Ford, 65, of Marianna, Florida died Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Jackson Hospital.

 She was born March 11, 1959, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Albert and Marjorie Harris. She was married to her husband, Charles Ford in 1979, and then her significant other, Dennis Hatcher in 1996.

Margie started working in construction with her dad, Al Harris, when she was a teenager. She worked at Unimac for years and then retired from M & W Construction. She was an extremely hard worker and lived by the saying: "It does not matter what you do for a living, you need to take pride in it". She loved to cook and feed her family and enjoyed teaching her children how to cook as well. Margie loved watching her grandbabies play and grow. She took a lot of pride in her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by Charles Ford, Dennis Hatcher, Marion Harrelson, Ginny Robertson, and her parents, Albert and Marjorie Moore Harris.

She is survived by her three children, Dixie Rountree, Alex Ford (Jamie) and Courtney Salem (Chris); 13 grandchildren, Alexis (Stephanie), Morgan, Charles, Jr, Matthew, Baine, Justin, Aiden, Caleb, Connor, Ethan, Saphira, and Emberly; two great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Jalayah; one sister, Cathy Edwards (Billy); two brothers, Gene Harris and William Heusted (Patsy); along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The family would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love and support that they received, showing them just how much Margie was loved and will be missed.

A memorial service will be 4 PM Monday, September 9, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor Mike Allen officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Directing.  

The family will receive friends from 3 PM until the time of service.
