Margaret Ruth Chafin Boone

Margaret Ruth Chafin Boone, 66, of Marianna died Monday, November 17, 2008 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, Mrs. Boone worked at Chipola Retirement Center as a CNA and attended Lighthouse Community Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Tommie Boone; one son, Tommie Richard Boone of Marianna; one daughter, Myra Rhodes and her husband,Mike of Rock Hill, S.C.; step-mother, Marie Chafin; four brothers, Howard Chafin and wife, Annette; Herman Chafin, James Robert Chafin and wife, Jane, all of Marianna; John Chafin and his wife, Paula of Tallahassee; three sisters, Sarah Wright and husband, Ronnie of Marianna, Elsie Toole of Cottondale, Brenda Peters of Marianna; six grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Revs. Francis Dudley and Ronnie Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Lipford Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Wednesday at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
