Malrie Glen Shores

Malrie Glen Shores, 86, of Kynesville, FL died Friday, July 26, 2024 at the home of his daughter in Dothan, AL.

Mr. Shores was born, June 4, 1938 in Marianna to Daniel and Pearlie Kent Shores. He was proud of his service to his country having served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years. 

In 1975 he moved back to Kynesville and built his home. Malrie worked for Whatley Trucking Company where he retired after a number of years. Malrie always loved life. In his younger days he enjoyed camping and going fishing, in more recent years, he enjoyed dancing to all kinds of music, especially country music and riding his bicycle. 

Malrie loved to visit and enjoyed talking and having conversations with family and friends. He was a very generous, kind and loving father, grandfather and friend that always had a smile and never met a stranger! He loved his children unconditionally and cherished the time spent with family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladine P. Shores; son, Wendell Shores; granddaughter, Brittany Marie Hutt; siblings, Donald Shores, Annie Mae Taylor, and Lucille Shores. 

Malrie is survived by his son, Jeffery Shores; daughter, Sharon Lynn Hutt (Kevin); grandchildren, Stephanie Shores, Jessica Shores, Kayla Shores; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie Shores and David Shores. 

Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
