Lurine Bush Nesmith

Lurine Bush NeSmith, 94, of Marianna died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Chipola Nursing Pavilion. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, Mrs. NeSmith was a former employee of Sunland and for many years a long time cafeteria employee at Marianna High School. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William McKinley NeSmith a granddaughter, Helen Smith and her parents, Thomas and Susie Morris Bush. Survivors include one son, Charles McQuagge and wife Barbara of Santa Rosa Beach; two daughters, Clarine Benesky and husband Thomas of Edwardsville, PA., Ada Guy and husband Bob of Marianna; two brothers, John Thomas Bush and wife Rebecca and R. L. Bush all of Castleberry, FL.; two sisters, M. Lee Simon and husband Henry of Crystal River, FL and Louise Daniels of Orlando; seven grandchildren, James R. Hansford, Deborah A. Baxley, George A. Hansford, Bonnie McQuagge, Tommy Benesky, Susan Duda and Diane Wood and husband Mark; eight great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, March 13, 2009 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Rabon officiating, interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Maddox Chapel.
