Lucille Porter Tharp, 89, of Marianna, Florida, passed away in her home on November 13th, 2019.

Lucille was born in Jackson County, Florida, on June 14th, 1930 to Newton Porter and Artie Maddox-Porter. She spent her childhood outdoors and her favorite place to be was near the water with her cane pole. A doting mother and grandmother, Lucille was loved by many and will live on in our hearts. She will be remembered for her devotion to the Lord, words of wisdom, and her undying love for her family.

Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Tharp; mother, Artie Maddox-Porter; father, Newton Porter; sisters, Mozell-Porter Michaels, Maude Porter-Boggs; brothers, Roscoe & Homer Porter; daughter, Elaine Tharp; son, James Tharp; great grandchildren, Cameron Stinson, Shelby Haddock, & Hunter Gingrich.

Lucille is survived by her children, Elmer (Mardelyn) Tharp, Linda (Steve) Anderson, Artie Mae Tharp, and Tanya Wood; grandchildren, Lisa (Allen) Gingrich, Christopher (Samantha) Tharp, Tony Tharp, Michael Tharp, Jason (Angel) Tharp, Wendi (Tristan) Hartzog, Monica ( Zakerie) Blank, Jami Tharp, Donald Smith, James (Joyce) Haddock, Donny Haddock; great-grandchildren, Lee (Landry) Tharp, Jessica (Anthony) Dilmore, Bobby Drew Jackson, Amber Tharp, Serina Tharp, Mia Tharp, Sonja Tharp, Tessa Tharp, Amy Tharp, Austin Tharp, Britni Tharp, Mackenzie Tharp, Kayn Tharp, Brandon Tharp, Justin Tharp, Noah Tharp, Christian Tharp, Joshua Stinson, Tyler Stinson, Alicia Stinson, Steven Stinson, Ashton Stinson, Dylan Stinson, Devin Hartzog, Colton Hartzog, Destiny Hartzog, Erin-Cassidy Blank, Anna Haddock, Sierra Haddock, Breanna Haddock, Marshall Haddock, Angel Haddock, Chloe Haddock, Thomas Haddock, Vincent Miller, Donny Smith, Lana Otto, James Tharp.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday, November 18th, 2019 at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Interment will follow in Lipford Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.

Following the burial, a celebration of life gathering will be at McCormick Lakehouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice.
