Louise J. Rogers, 88, of Malone died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at her home. She was reunited with her husband, Robert Allen "Skinny" of almost 60 years. She was born in Gordan, Alabama September 12, 1920, the oldest of five children. Mrs. Rogers graduated from Malone High School and Married her husband on December 24, 1939. She worked at Malone School as the lunchroom director, at Sunland Training Center retiring twice, she was the caregiver for her husband in later years. She was a faithful member of Malone United Methodist Church and a valued member of the Malone community. Survivors include her son, Jimmy M. Rogers and friend, Donna Caldwell of Ozark, Robert M. (Mickey) Rogers and wife, Jackie of Gainesville, four grandchildren, Dr. Tami Rogers, Kathy Cochran, Robert M. (Robbie) Rogers, Jr., and Rosalie Rogers, and one great-grandchild Joshua T. Cochran. She is also survived by her brothers, Green Jordan, Jr., J.W. Jordan, and sister, Patricia Mathis. She was preceded in death by her brother Lester Jordan. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Malone United Methodist Church with Revs. Raymond Owens and Tommy Whiddon officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
