Lotus Paige

Lotus Paige passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 56. Born on February 28, 1967.

A proud graduate of Marianna High School, Lotus achieved the significant honor of Valedictorian in 1984. She further pursued her education at Florida State University, graduating in 1988. Her academic excellence was indicative of her commitment to lifelong learning and her passion for personal growth.

Lotus was well-known for her nurturing spirit and her dedication to giving back to the community. She enjoyed crocheting and found joy in creating beautiful items that she shared with hospitals and nursing homes during the holiday season. She was a member of several craft groups in Augusta, GA, as well as those in Marianna.

At the time of her passing, Lotus was working in Augusta, GA for Berkshire Hathaway Home Builders in their Accounting Department. 

Lotus was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Bill Sommers of Marianna, FL.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Alora Paige from Chipley, FL. Lotus is also survived by her three sisters: Nila Jammes (Vance), Teena Enriquez, and Wanita Sapp (Carroll). She is also survived by her brother, Danny Carr, from Southside, AL.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 28, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Citizens Lodge, located at 4574 Lodge Drive, Marianna, FL., with James and Sikes Maddox Chapel Funeral Home Directing.
