James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel 4278 Lafayette Street Marianna, Florida 32446 850-482-2332 Lola M. Sims, 97, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born December 30, 1912 in Jackson County to Neal and Sabie Purvis Brock at Rocky Creek community. Mrs. Sims was a life long resident of Jackson County would have been 98 in December. She enjoyed fishing and went as often as she could. At the age of 97 she went fishing a few times prior to becoming bedridden, she was fondly referred to as the "Energizer Bunny", as she kept on going. She was preceded in death by the father of her children , Joseph Edward Sims; her parents; one daughter, Betty Jo Spivey; one sister, Alma Ruth Barfield; three grandchildren and one nephew. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Dickenson of Marianna, Catherine Sebasco and Patsy Vickers both of Panama City, Neal Sims and wife Lottie of Marianna and Terri Cook and husband Tommy of Vernon. A Service of Remberance will be 4 pm Friday, December 3, 2010 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Rhul Edenfield officiating. Memorization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends after 3:30 pm Friday, December 3, 2010 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donation in her memory be made to Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Ave. Suite E, Marianna, Florida 32446
