Linda Ann Wyatt passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 24, 2023 in the evening, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in Massachusetts on October 22, 1954 and lived in a suburb of Boston called Winthrop. Her birth occurred shortly after her father, Robert retired from the marine corps and moved the family from post war Japan to Boston. Linda had seven siblings in a loving household fondly remembered as chaotic.
Linda married Ronald Wyatt in February of 1971 and eventually had four sons while traveling the world as an Army family. She raised her sons while navigating foreign cultures and often alone as Ronald was away to perform his military duties. Linda is remembered as an unrelenting force that defied her petite physical stature in guiding her sons to become men.
After leaving the Army, the family returned to Ronald’s boyhood home of Marianna, Florida. Linda began working as a postal carrier and loved the relationships she developed with co-workers as well as those blessed with being on her delivery route. Also, she truly enjoyed her eventual role as a doting grandmother to her ever growing family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald. They are reunited.
Linda is survived by her brothers, Bob, Wayne, Russell, as well as sisters, Donna and Janet. Also, her sons, John, James, Rusty and Buddy. Additionally, her grandchildren, Alexandra, Samantha, Eban and Rowen.
Funeral services will be 6 PM, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Reverend LaVon Pettis officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
