Linda Susan Waychoff

February 29, 1960 — August 21, 2021

Linda Susan Carr Waychoff, 61, passed from this life on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her home in Eufaula, Alabama following a brief illness. She was from Jackson County, but had lived most of her life in Eufaula.

She was affectionately known as "Dee Dee" by her loving grandchildren; and some family members called her "Honey Sue". She will always be remembered for her sweet smile, and big heart with such a giving spirit and her love for family, especially her grandchildren and friends.

Susan was born in Panama City, Florida on February 29, 1960. She graduated from Grand Ridge High School, and received her LPN license from Sparks Technical College (now known as Wallace College). She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, William Doyle and Doris Jean Carr of Grand Ridge; sister, Judy Carr Sims; and brother, Randy Lee Carr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Waychoff of Eufaula; daughter, Chrisenie Brusha (Sha) Bass and husband, Nicholas of Headland, Alabama; son, Nicholas Keith Banks of Eufaula; five grandchildren, Camren Bailey Gallimore, Camet Peyton Gallimore, Josie Jaiken Gallimore, Riley Gage Banks and Sofia Grace Banks; three brothers, William Taff Carr and wife, Gerry of Grand Ridge; Bennie Doyle Carr and wife, Marty of Cypress; Bobby Hugh Carr of Marianna; one sister, Kathy Jean Poitevint and husband, John of Marianna; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with brother-in-law, John Poitevint officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Community Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
