Linda Jean Baker

Linda Jean Baker, 51, of Marianna Florida passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at home. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia on October 07, 1962, Linda was raised in Rhode Island, Mrs. Baker had resided in Marianna over the past 18 years. She was employed by the State of Rhode Island under the Department of MHRH for more than 10 years before leaving due to illness. Linda was an animal advocate rescuing two birds Chucky and Lillie cockatoo who quickly became her constant companions. Her beautiful spirit touch many lives with her strength and kindness she showed others. She was proceed in death by her brother Michael W. Hayes, her Aunt Lillian Mimande, and her maternal Grandparents Vera Martin and Albert Waterhouse. Paternal Grandparents Bonnie Ellis and Alton Hayes. Survivors include her husband Leonard Baker, and son Lenny Baker of Rhode Island. Her parents; John W. Hayes of Commanchee Texas and Barbara Couroyer of Foster,Rhode Island; sister Tambra Hicks and husband William F. Hicks of Marianna Florida; brother John W. Hayes Jr. of Providence Rhode Island. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until time of service.
