Lillie Vivian Cloud, 98, of Dellwood, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Jackson Hospital, after a short illness.
She was one of the founding members and oldest living member of Welcome Assembly of God Church in Grand Ridge. Lillie “Rosebud” retired from Florida State Hospital with over 30 years of service where she was employed as a charge nurse. She also worked at Jackson Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.
Lillie was proceeded in death by her husband of many years, Byrum Willis Cloud Sr.; parents, Silas Edward “Son” Powell and Flossie Vivian “Maw Maw” Powell; brothers Chester Powell, Lonzo Powell, and Howell Powell; sisters, Lois Poole, Hazeline Mercer, and Evelyn Burch, granddaughter, Sophia O’Neal and special niece, Carolyn Sullivan. She loved her many nieces and nephews, they meant the world to her.
She is survived by her son, Byrum Willis Cloud, Jr. of Dellwood; her sister, Doris Toole, and husband, Eugene of Graceville; granddaughter, Bridget O’Bryan and husband, Robert of Dellwood; five great grandchildren, Shantel Paramore of Marianna, Clate O’Neal and Jaydn of Washington, Makenzy Strum and Tim of Washington, Cameron Parrish and Amber of Sneads, and Adalyn O’Bryan of Dellwood; four great-great grandchildren, Ryker Parrish, Karter Paramore, Owen Strum, and Jehsiah O’Neal.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gay, Julie Harris, ARNP, Chipola Medical Associates, Emerald Coast Hospice and Jackson Hospital for the excellent care that was provided during her sickness. Also, their church family at Welcome Assembly of God in Grand Ridge and many friends and family.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Welcome Assembly of God Church with Reverends Steven Subel and Clinton Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Assembly of God Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Welcome Assembly of God Church.
