Leslie Elwood Myers, 97, of Malone died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Chipola Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Warren, Arkansas, Mr. Myers had resided in Jackson County for 60 years. He was a retired US Military veteran, worked at Sunland Training Center and also retired from the State of Florida. He was a member of Malone United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wives, Bertha and Dora; his parents, Joseph Wesley and Velma Clayton Myers; his brothers and sisters, Chester, Clayton, Charles, Charlotte, Dorothy, Stell, Jean and Lucrecia; and by his grandson John. Survivors include his brother, James Myers (Harriett); his two sons, Joseph Wesley Myers of Dothan and William Allan Myers (Robin) of Gainesville, GA; four grandchildren, Kelley Clima (Steve), Heather Lackey (Shane), Richard Myers and Alyson Graham (Donald); six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites presented. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
