Lena Ethel Ross

Lena Ethel Ross, 85, of Marianna went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, she was a devoted wife, parent and grandparent. Born in Two Egg, Mrs. Ross was a life long resident of Jackson County and a member of Holly Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harvey Ross, her children, Hazel and Pasty Ross; Parents, W.W. and Susan Conrad Mitchell and her step-mother, Josie Mitchell; a sister, Daisy Hill and a Son-in-law, Jimmy Smith. Survivors include, two daughters, Linda Smith of Marianna and Pamela Ross Vaughn of Eustis, Fl.; three brothers, Jerry Mitchell and wife Debby of Groveland, Fl, Larry Mitchell and wife Becky of Dellwood; Steve Mitchell and wife Vivian of Marianna; six sisters, Bell Waller of Marianna, Eunice Barnes and husband Wilburn of Columbus, Ga., Phyllis Everette and husband Jimmy of Vernon, Bebel Ann Mitchell of Marianna, Annette Shumake and husband James of Marianna; Edna Whitehead and husband Scott of Havana, Ga.; Grandchildren, Lisa Collins and husband Tony of Marianna, Avery and Carly Vaughn of Jacksonville; Great Grandchildren, Jessica Chaddock and husband David of Marianna, Jeremy Collins and wife Ashlee of Marianna; Great Great Grandchildren, Kyle Collins of Marianna, Trinity, Jayce and Teigan Chaddock all of Marianna; many nieces, nephews, church family and friends. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, April 5, 2005 at Holly Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Irvin Jennison and Rev. Donnie Hussey officiating, burial will follow at Dykes Cemetery at the Holly Grove Free Will Baptist Church, James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, April 4, 2008 at Holly Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Hwy 73 South of Marianna. "
