James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Lela Ann Mayo, 59, of Alford died Thursday October 6, 2011 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. She was born in Wewahitchka and lived most of her life in Jackson County. She was a past member of Alford Baptist Church and a homemaker. A loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Stephens. Survivors include her husband, Eddie F. Mayo, one son; Donnie Fred Mayo and wife, Cindy of Cottondale; two daughters, Beverly Ann Rogers and husband, Mark of Panama City Beach, Kimberly Mayo Hanson of Round Lake; two brothers, Johnny Stephens of Baton Rouge, LA., Terry Stephens of Sneads; four sisters, Dianne Porter of Marianna, Lydia Barnes of Round Lake, Cherryl Turner of Fountain and Sharon Parmer of Alford; special friend, Judy Williams; six grandchildren, Johanna Rogers, Logan Edenfield, Cheyenne Mayo, Brandon Rogers, Gable Hanson, Ceianna Mayo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Round Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
