Lawanda Fay Dean-Jones passed in peace, Friday, September 10, 2021 at the age of 65.
Born on May 29, 1956 to Betty Ann Macon and William Napoleon Dean in Quincy, Florida. A lifelong resident of Florida, Lawanda was raised in Miami, Florida and graduated from Miami Edison Senior High in 1974. She began a stellar career with Social Security Administration at the age of 19 and after 38 years of service, retired as District Manager.
Lawanda’s greatest passions were spoiling her grandchildren and bestowing her love and knowledge to those in need. She made an impact on many lives throughout her lifetime and will be missed by many.
Lawanda was preceded in death by her soulmate, James A. Jones Sr. and father, William N. Dean. She leaves to cherish her memories, her only child, Danielle Jones Hammons (Richard), Grandchildren, Vashon A. Symonds, William L. Nix, and Jordan R. Nix. Mother, Betty Macon Dean. Further survived by a host of extended family to include 2 siblings.
