Laura Elizabeth "Beth" Mccord

Laura Elizabeth "Beth" McCord, 79, of the Lovedale/Two Egg Community died Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Born in Jacksonville, Mrs. McCord had resided in the Lovedale/Two Egg Community most of her life where she was a devoted member of the Lovedale Baptist Church where she was a long time member of the choir and played the piano and organ. She retried after many years as an employee of Sunland Center, Mrs. McCord was known for her love of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ancil and Martha Laura Pyke Bazzell. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Cox and husband, Alfred, of Lovedale / Two Egg Community; Connie Raffield and husband Scott of Panama City; one brother, Edward Bazzell and wife Doris of Lovedale/Two Egg Community; one sister, Norma Bazzell of Marianna; two sister-in-laws Pearl Bazzell of Lovedale / Two Egg Community and Joann Bazzell of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 pm. Monday, December 8, 2008 at Lovedale Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Durham and Rev. Chris Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Bazzell Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 1pm Monday, December 8, 2008 till funeral time at the Lovedale Baptist Church."
